My guess is that you wasted a lot of time and money replacing the blower motor and transformer. If the fuse keeps popping in your air conditioner you have a 24 volt short. I then tested the r to w with the thermostat in the off position and the button pushed in for a c power and got 48v. The control monitors and sequences operation and offers 100 percent gas shutoff in case of ignition failure.

I turned off the input power and attached terminal r 24 vac power to thermostat and the fuse blew. See if the filament is broken or the fuse has blown. Can you guys point me in right direction to figure this one out. Also replaces select control board models from ti utec and white rodgers.

I did a recent service call and the 5 amp fuse in the circuit board on the furnace was blown. The control boards on goodman furnaces go out all the time and that is where the problem lies. Its just being used for cooling right now. Pull that fuse out and hold it up to the light.

Thanks for the help. I was blowing the 5 amp fuse on the control board for my forced air gas furnace. Costs around 142 00 if you don t have an a c license. If the fuse blows when you have no low voltage wires hooked to the furnace then you have an internal problem like a bad limit gas valve connection or control board.

I tested on the control board r to c and got 24v with the button pushed in for ac power. When you have the door off of the furnace and can see the control board take a look right next to where the c g r w y and twin terminal are and you should see a small car type plug in fuse. He just called and told me fuse is blown again. It isn t the hsi inducer or blower motor as these are all high voltage parts not low voltage.

The model number of the goodman furnace is gks9. My furnace is a concord model cg90ub. The guy has a new condensing unit installed last year. Im going to show you how to fix this problem with just a screwdriver and maybe 5 3 amp fuses and we will fix the 3 amp short im just making this video for my.
